X-Strata980 for analysis of
plated precious metals
Precious metals such as Gold (Au), Platinum (Pt), Silver (Ag), Rhodium (Rh) etc. are used in the manufacture of jewellery and fashion accessories. They can be the main components, or be used as a thin coating for surface finish.
Composition analysis at the time of manufacturing, casting, selling/buying, recycling, or refining is needed to ensure quality and value of the product.
For plated fashion and custom jewellery and accessories the thickness of the plated precious metal must be controlled to control production cost, and ensure final aspect, quality, and durability.
