Responsibilities:
| Use agreed software design methodologies and tools to develop innovative and robust software components and systems
Work with project team members to produce agreed specifications and develop products that meet them
Participate in software design reviews

Provide support for existing products
Keep agreed design and implementation records
Train colleagues in the Use of developed software components
Provide appropriate documentation that facilitates others to further develop or maintain the software that you produce
Provide appropriate documentation to support colleagues such as Help and Localisation specialists, Applications Scientists, Product Managers and Customer support staff | |
Technical Skills:

Personal Skills:
| Experience of writing software in a technology R&D environment is a particular advantage
Experience with analytical instruments for example electron microscopes, X-ray spectroscopy or crystallography techniques.
Must have excellent working knowledge in any one of the following categories: 1）Microsoft Visual Studio 6 C++, ATL, VB and COM skills;2） Microsoft C#,.NET; 3）Real time control and data acquisition for instrumentation. | |

Responsibilities:
| "Maintain and develop knowledge of assigned products and their common applications, undertaking appropriate training where necessary.
Provide various technical reports such as “field installation acceptance ”,”field service report”, ”RMA” and “CARF” together with administration reports such as “time & expense” within the agreed standards.
Support marketing / sales, furnishing leads for system sales, upgrades, support contracts and other market intelligence whilst in contact with the customer.
Assist in knowledge transfer by training customers and other company employees when required.
Service hotline and IA demo room management.
Maintain awareness of, and minimise where possible, the level of expense incurred in day to day support activities, both in terms of time involved and parts consumed.
Perform work safely at all times, maintaining an up to date knowledge of heath & safety requirements and operating in accordance with health and safety at work legislation.

Works closely with other Customer Support Engineers, UK/USA Hotline, Technical Support and Product Support Specialists to resolve technical problems.
Works closely with customers, sales representatives and OI management.
