Hyperpolarised Carbon 13 Detection

The figures below: (a) conventional NMR and (b) DNP NMR are natural abundance 13C acquisitions of diphenylacetylene at 20 µmol (3.5mg)*.

The conventional spectrum was acquired over 3 hours (3000 scans), and the DNP NMR spectrum acquired in a single scan, after 3 hours polarisation.

Signal enhancements comparing DNP and conventional NMR are 2500 and 500 for peaks A and C respectively.
