CF935 cryostats for Q-band electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy

CF935 cryostats for Q-band electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy

Oxford Instruments offers a range of continuous flow cryostats designed for X- and Q-band electron spin resonance/electron paramagnetic resonance (ESR/EPR) spectroscopy. The range has been designed for compatibility with commercial spectrometers.

  • The CF935P non-optical cryostat immerses the entire sample and cavity in the cryogen flow, providing experimental flexibility by compatibility with many different cavities. The CF935P can be used with either liquid helium (LHe) or liquid nitrogen (LN2) cooling
  • The CF935O is an optical version of the CF935 which enables optical access to the sample while ESR experiments are being carried out, having one set of radial windows with a clear diameter of 5 mm

The benefits of low temperature ESR spectroscopy include:

  • An increase in signal levels from samples where relaxation times are very short at room temperature
  • The ability to study phase transitions
