Professor Mathias Kläui
The 2011 winner of the Nicholas Kurti Science Prize is Prof. Mathias Kläui from the SwissFEL, Paul Scherrer Institute and the Laboratory of nanomagnetism and Spin Dynamics, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Prof Kläui has focused on the fundamentally novel magnetic and electronic transport properties that emerge as lateral strucure dimensions become smaller than characteristic length scales, such as the spin diffusion length, magnetic exchange length, etc.
