Clean Assembly of Ultra Low Temperature/Magnet Systems

UHV ULT magnet system
Following the recent successful manufacture and installation of three systems to an OEM customer and in response to increasing customer demands, Oxford Instruments NanoScience has expanded a clean assembly area within its factory. It allows very clean construction of superconducting magnets, dilution refrigerators and 3He inserts (helium cooled or cryogen-free) which can work in a Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) environment (10-9 mbar or better).

  • Bakeable UHV inserts
  • UHV Dilution Refrigerators
  • UHV 3He inserts
  • Applications
  •
  • Supplied with loading mechanism
  • Magnetic fields up to 12 T
  • Vector magnets up to 6/1/1
  • Split pairs up to 6 T
  • Compatible with customers prep system
  • Customised sample loading options
  • Customised wiring options

In March we have shipped a UHV Cryofree dilution refrigerator with optical access. It achieved an incredible performance:

  • 9 mK base temperature with all windows closed
  • 29 mK with all 14 windows open (with factory in darkness)
  • 240 µW at 100 mK cooling power.
