XRF analysers are available both as handheld analysers and as benchtop systems.
Handheld XRF analysers – X-METs - are specifically designed for application such as:
- Positive material identification (PMI) of metals
- Scrap recycling & sorting (metals)
- Alloy identification and analysis
- Precious metals testing
- Ore screening and grade control in mining and exploration process
- Hazardous material analysis (RoHS)
Handheld XRF analysis is preferred when tests needs to be carried out in the field on on-site in the production floor or stockyard. The analysis of precious metals (such as Gold) is also an application suited ideally to the technique of XRF, as it is fast, reliable and completely non-destructive testing (NDT) method, leaving no mark on the sample. These XRF analysers are also used to analyse ores at mining sites, heavy metals in soils on polluted lands and paints.
Benchtop XRF is ideal when smaller samples are measured as part of a regular quality control process required for compliancy with legislative regulations. Our benchtop XRF analyser family consists of mobile and laboratory based EDXRF systems and Coatings XRF analysis systems.
- The X-Supreme8000, Lab-X3500 and MDX1000 XRF laboratory analysers span the price/performance range for routine chemical analysis. From Sulfur in petroleum products to the analysis of silicon or limestone, we can match exactly the correct spectrometer to your evolving needs. These systems not only save our customers money in often very fast payback periods, they ensure peace of mind from regulatory compliance and improve the quality of output from manufacturing actually helping our customers improve the product they supply to their customers.
- CMI900 and X-Strata980 analysers measure coating thickness and material composition of platings, coatings, thin films, containing elements from Titanium through Uranium. See more of our Coatings analysers and applications.
