Applications in nuclear industry
The EBSD technique can solve many key problems in the analysis of nuclear materials, that are not possible or are difficult with other analytical techniques. Examples are the analysis of fuel cladding materials (e.g. zircaloy) or the enhancement of the physical properties of waste material storage containers. This is why HKL Technology has a number of customers working in the nuclear industry.
