UHV Nanostat

UHV Nanostat

The UHV Nanostat systems utilise UHV compatible materials and fabrication techniques to provide clean sample environments for applications such as Nanotechnology and Nanoscience.

The systems provide

  • A UHV compatible variable temperature insert (VTI) for sample temperatures between 3 – 300K
  • 4 Suprasil windows to provide horizontal optical access to the sample together with one 53mm diameter window (with shutter) for vertical access to the OVC
  • a top loading support rod for commercial Scanning Probe or Atomic Force Microscopes
  • a 7 tesla split pair magnet oriented with the magnetic field axis vertical. This system can be fitted with a lambda point refrigerator to enhance the field to 8 tesla at 2.2K.
