Responsibilities

Deliver development and customer projects on time, to budget and in full. Facilitate prototype construction and test. Record and disseminate results clearly and appropriately. Carry out research and network with the wider technical community. Play a key role in the marketing of new products by visiting customers, with the sales and marketing teams, to deliver the technical aspects of customer presentations and answer technical questions.

Technical Skills

A degree in relevant engineering (electrical/mechanical/electronics) or science discipline. Chartered Engineer preferred. Significant experience of product development in the semiconductor or related industry in a role in which you owned and delivered tangible product developments. Electrical, electronics or mechanical design skills, to create a product concept and detailed design from a requirements brief.Specific understanding of controls systems, RF power systems, preferably vacuum technology and components

Personal Skills

High levels of energy and drive to achieve challenging technical goals in tight time scales. Works independently to agreed goals, collaborating effectively with team members, and overseeing work of technicians and engineers where appropriate. A balanced practical/experimental and theoretical approach to product development. Thorough attention to detail and high technical integrity.
