Oxford Instruments launches expanded Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) product range

Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis, leading manufacturer and international supplier of Arc/Spark optical emission spectrometers - used to analyze the chemical properties of metals - is delighted to announce the launch of their expanded OES product range.

The expansion to Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis’OES product range is the result of Oxford Instruments recent acquisition of WAS AG (Worldwide Analytical Systems) the leading German manufacturer and global supplier of Arc/Spark optical emission spectrometers and preparatory equipment.“The acquisition forms part of our strategy to deliver added value and enhanced service to our customers and we are delighted to announce the formal launch of our expanded OES product range”says Brad Boyer, President, Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis.

WAS technology and expertise in mobile, portable and stationary optical emission spectrometry (OES) significantly strengthens and complements Oxford Instruments Industrial Analysis’ existing range of OES industrial spectrometers.

The OES technique is particularly suited for the measurement of most elements, including key elements such as Carbon, Sulfur, Phosphorous and Nitrogen, in all metals.  Inspection companies use OES for maintenance checks at petrochemical and nuclear plants where use of the correct alloy is vital. Customers in the aviation, oil refining and metal fabrication industries will now have a greater choice of high performance tools to meet their demanding Positive Material Identification (PMI) requirements.  Metal foundries and recyclers will value the excellent throughput and price / performance that our enhanced product range will offer for their Quality Control and trading requirements. The expanded range comprises:

ARC-MET8000 – Most accurate portable metal analysis, low carbon analysis (L-grade identification) with 10m cable, optics and display in probe; the definitive selection for PMI and inspection work

PMI-MASTER PRO – Fast and reliable mobile metal analysis with battery power; Carbon, Phosphorous and Sulfur analysis; valuable for fabricators and those performing analysis at one location.

PMI-MASTER SORT – Portable metal analysis with spark excitation for best performance in light alloys such as Aluminum; best choice for non-ferrous scrap.

FOUNDRY-MASTER – Multi-base benchtop analyzer utilizing proven vacuum technology; ideal for ferrous and non-ferrous foundries and secondary smelters.

FOUNDRY MASTER COMPACT – Benchtop analyzer for non-ferrous applications; best price/performance ratio; just right for Aluminum/Zinc die casters and Aluminum secondary smelters.

TEST-MASTER PRO – Mobile workhorse for fast continuous sorting; integration into fully automated production lines; perfect for 24/7 tasks in steel mills or big steel fabrication plants.

GM-2D – Professional 2-disc grinder with integrated dust exhaust and braking system for safety; fundamental for sample preparation in metal labs.
