VeriCold Technologies - Cryogen Free Sample Environments
VeriCold are now an integral part of Oxford Instruments NanoScience capability in cryogenic solutions for physical science research applications.
VeriCold offer services ranging from system components to full turn-key systems. Most of these systems are based on Cryofree pulse tube coolers which offer extremely low vibration and full automation.
Ultra-low Temperature Cooling: Refrigerators for the temperature range down to 10mK: 3He sorption coolers, adiabatic demagnetisation refrigerators (ADR) and 3He/4He dilution refrigerators.
Cryostats: Cryogen-free cryostats for 77K and 4K applications. Standard designs are available as are special custom designs for neutron scattering or confocal microscopy.
Pulse Tube Coolers: Low-vibration pulse tube coolers for the temperature range from 100 to 2.8K. Variable cooling power options are available.
Photon Detectors: VeriCold has developed single photon detection systems based on superconducting sensor technology. One key application is the field of microanalysis using a microcalorimeter EDS system which has an improved energy resolution of below 15eV (FWHM). This is almost a ten-fold improvement to conventional Si based EDS systems.
