For customers building their own MRI systems, the DRX offers a well-proven platform for high performance, cost effective system control and data acquisition. The DRX is a state-of-the-art fully digital MRI/NMR console based around advanced SHARC DSP technology. Its modular design allows for multiple RF channels and phased array capability. The DRX has sophisticated gradient control including gradient shimming, multi-term on-the-fly pre-emphasis, and extensive memory for shaped RF and shaped gradient pulses.

Several hundred DRX units are successfully in operation controlling human whole-body MRI systems.
