Optoelectronics is based on the quantum mechanical effects of light on electronic materials, especially semiconductors, sometimes in the presence of electric fields. We offer a wide range of optical cryostats which can be used to study optoelectronics effect. The range includes nitrogen, helium or closed cycle cooler cryostats. They can be fitted with up to 5 windows in the materials of your choice to cover from UV to far infrared. Electrical measurements are possible via 10-pin electrical feed wire to heat exchanger and/or wired on coax connectors. The number of connections depends on the space available in the cryostat of choice.
Examples of effects which can be measured with our cryostats are photoelectric, photovoltaic, photoconductivity and photoemissivity.
