Still small enough to care – Roentgenanalytik becomes part of Oxford Instruments
23 January 2014

Oxford Instruments, a leading provider of high technology tools and systems for research and industry, starts off the New Year with a new member of its family: Roentgenanalytik Systeme in Taunusstein near Frankfurt / Germany. A team of highly qualified professionals are experts in designing and supplying instruments for coating thickness measurement and material analysis, using X-ray fluorescence (XRF).

With this acquisition Oxford Instruments extends its XRF product range substantially and now intends to invest in a centre of excellence based in Taunusstein, focused on developing its benchtop XRF analysers.  It will be offering its customers state of the art tools that meet their stringent requirements for high performance, accurate analysis.

Roentgenanalytik Systeme is well known for the quality and reliability of its products, and fast personal service.    While this acquisition brings all the advantages of the global strength of the Oxford Instruments brand, its worldwide network and investment in research and development, customers of Roentgenanalytik can still expect the usual standard of high-quality service and exciting innovations.  As the new Managing Director, Olaf Neuhausen says, “My aim is to build a centre of excellence for benchtop XRF based on over 75 combined years of experience and engineering skills.  However, I also intend to retain the focus on the customer that is at the heart of the business and show that although we have joined a large, global company we are still small enough to care.”
