Helium recondensing dewars - IntegraAC

Our range of helium recondensing dewars combined with our range of wet superconducting magnets is an alternative to using cryogen free magnets (or dry magnets).

Not only do they minimise running costs and maximise experimental time but they also enable the most stringent magnet designs.

The IntegraAC range of recondensing helium systems has been developed to significantly reduce the consumption of liquid helium by recondensing helium gas evaporated within the system, which would otherwise be vented from the cryostat.

  • Significantly reduces helium consumption and frequency of refills
  • Compatible with all the standard range of dilution refrigerators, 3He inserts, VTI and superconducting magnets. This means you won't have to disrupt your experiments when you are upgrading your existing dewar
  • The cryostat can be kept cold continuously which minimises the costs associated with cooling a sample
  • Can be used for highly vibration sensitive experiments

Recent installations in China, Japan and Australia have further strengthened the market acquired by us, working closely with key institutes in Europe and the United States.

Oxford Instruments has been selected to supply a new neutron scattering magnet to the China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR).

We have also supplied a state-of the-art high field magnet recondensing dewars to Diamond Light Source. Researchers have already run their first set of experiments.
